Medium: books, film, tumblr
Fandom: Tsumiko and the Enslaved Fox, Beauty and the Beast (2014), Он – дракон (I Am Dragon, 2015)
Characters: Tsumiko Hajime, Argent Mettlebright, The Beast, Belle, Mira, Arman

Zephyrus
I struggled with this prompt because I couldn't think of anything "gentle". So I read and reread the prompt about Zephyrus until I got inspired. I'd like to start with "gentlest" then "spring/new growth" then circle back to "west wind".
I'd like to recommend this book entitled "Tsumiko and the Enslaved Fox" by Forthright. Tsumiko and the Enslaved Fox is the first book in the Amaranthine Saga.

excerpt from the book description: Tsumiko inherits an ancestral home, a vast fortune, and a butler who isn't exactly human.

Tsumiko is a gentle soul who brings new life to the Hajime household, especially to Argent. In a way, Argent is frozen (like the earth during winter) because of the restrictions of the curse/oath that bind him to the Hajime family. Tsumiko realizes this and vows to help him break the curse.
This book is like a Beauty and the Beast story which was one of the things which came to mind when I was pondering on the prompt. I think Beauty and the Beast is about the arrival of spring (Belle breaks the curse which has kept the castle and it's inhabitants in a certain form kind of like how Spring brings about new life from the frozen earth).
I like the 2014 version of Beauty and the Beast because even though The Prince's domain is overrun by plants, it is his heart which is in winter (his attitude) and thus keeps him in his beastly form. In a flashback, the Beast who was a Prince disregarded the plea of the Princess to stop hunting a golden deer. He hunted down and fatally wounded the golden deer which transformed into the Princess (she was a Nymph of the Forest). The God of the Forest cursed the Prince and turned him into a Beast as punishment.
I've seen in other movies that the deer is symbolic of Spring and I remembered how in the myth of the Fisher King the king was tied to the land (he is sick = the land is sick). So in La Belle et La Bête, the Prince killed Spring and his act affected not just himself but also his domain.
Belle arrives to take her father's place. He wants her but she fears him. Belle is curious about the mysteries of the Beast and his domain. She begins to see visions of the past and the curse. Later, the Beast decides to let Belle go with a vial of healing water for her father; this act signals the change in him which helps him transform in the end.
Below is a scene near the end of the movie where the Beast transforms back into a human in the healing pool.

The Beast: Do you think, with patience and force of habit, you will end up loving me?
Belle: I love you already.
Another movie I'd like to share is Он – дракон (I Am Dragon, 2015). There is a scene where Mira asks Arman about flying and the wind. I forgot how he explained it but he used flower petals to show how he controls the wind. Below are links to the gifset of Mira asking Arman.

Prompt 7: Zephyrus
The child of Dawn (Eos) and the Titan Astraeus, Zephyrus represents the West wind. Zephyrus was considered to be the gentlest of the Anemoi (wind gods representing the cardinal points of the compass), and the beneficial bringer of Spring. The gentle springtime winds of the West indicated an end to Winter and the new growth of plants and flowers.
Bonus Prompt: Nemean Lion
