Title: The Tales of Sesshomaru

Summary: Sesshomaru series focuses on Inuyasha's older brother Sesshomaru during the events of the Inuyasha series. Sesshomaru is looking for the Tetsusaiga which is a sword left by his father to Inuyasha. Sesshomaru believes he is more worthy to wield this dangerous sword which could kill demons in one swing. Sesshomaru finds the sword but he can't use it because it burns him. He fights Inuyasha until Inuyasha disarms him (literally because he loses his left arm). The Tenseiga which he inherited from his father pulses and saves him from certain death. He floats away to recuperate and that is where a woman finds him. The woman who finds him is called Rin but she has not spoken since she saw her whole family die. This setback in acquiring Tetsusaiga and meeting Rin eventually changes Sesshomaru. He becomes less obsessed with Tetsusaiga and gradually learns to use the Tenseiga (which could be only weilded by someone with compassion).

Why Did You Choose To Reboot This Work? I wanted to see a series from Sesshomaru's POV. He is a powerful demon who is confident in his skills. In the Inuyasha series, he never seeks the Shikon no Tama which all other demons want to use for abilities enhancement. At first glance, you'd think he's the bad guy but it turns out he's just an anti-hero. He acts unaffected but is kind in his own way.

What Makes Your Version Different From The Original? How Is It The Same/In The Same Spirit? It will focus more on Sesshomaru and how he changes from a 'don't care about humans' demon to 'maybe I care but I won't show it blatantly' demon. It is still set in the feudal era. There will be flashbacks so scenes will have more meaning. Compare and contrast so to speak.

Characters & Cast:

Sesshomaru - Lee Jae Wook

A demon. Eldest son of Toga. He has a crescent moon marking on his forehead. His hair is white and he wears a white kimono with minimal armor and fur over his right shoulder. His normal eyes are yellow; in his true demon form (as a giant dog) his eyes are red. He has fangs and he can secrete poison from his claws. He resents Inuyasha for falling in love with Kikyo (a human priestess) and ending up bound the Sacred Tree.

Inuyasha - Lee Shin Young

A half-demon. Younger half-brother to Sesshomaru. His hair is also white, his eyes are yellow. He also has fangs and his hands are tipped with claws. He seems chaotic but he has had to fight humans and demons to survive. Unlike Sesshomaru, he has no true demon form. He was in suspended animation while pinned to the Sacred Tree.

Rin - Hamabe Minami

A human woman. She is mute after seeing her whole family die but eventully talks while accompanying Sesshomaru and Jaken. She has a beautiful smile. Rin is left with Kaede to grow up with humans. She wishes to stay with Sesshomaru forever and later Sesshomaru returns to her.

Naraku - Gong Jun

An amalgamation of demon and human spirit who seeks the Shikon no Tama. He manipulates and tricks Inuyasha and Kikyo. He bargains with Sesshomaru that he can give him a new arm if he defeats Inuyasha. He doesn't plan to let Sesshomaru have the arm indefinitely and this earns him a place in Sesshomaru's enemy list.

Jaken - Tadayoshi Okura

An imp demon. He swears himself to Sesshomaru as a vassal after being impressed with Sesshomaru's confidence and demonic ability. He uses the Staff of Two Heads which Sesshomaru gave him.

Toga - Kim Jae Wok

A powerful demon. General of the Western Lands. Father to Sesshomaru and Inuyasha. He is dead but the inheritance he leaves his sons (the swords) have lasting consequences. His wish was for his sons to learn to coexist together.

Music:
I know this has been used for Samurai X. But I like the energy of this song and I think it would be perfect for this fictional tv series.
