Challenge 13, 14, and 15 behind the cut.
Last year, I made a picspam of 30 Days of Night for the hide and seek challenge at land of art. I posted this at my tumblr and one of the blogs I follow (georgeromeros reblogged it (warning: it's a horror blog). It was like a "senpai noticed me" moment for me.
Look around your current space, whether digital or brick-n-mortar. Post a pic or description of:
1. a fannish item - I have a Captain America: Civil War tin lunchbox with the Winter Soldier and the Black Panther facing each other on the covers. Bucky is on the left while T'Challa is on the right. The sides of the lunchbox each has a faded Captain America shield.
2. something round - a happy birthday balloon (not mine but it's beside me).
3. something that is your favorite color - my microfiber towel
4. the last game you played (video, phone, table top, etc.) - it's Cooking Diary by MYTONA.
5. a book you are currently reading - Instructions for Dancing by Nicola Yoon.
6. album art of the first song that comes up on shuffle - it's gonna be either Hozier or Wasteland Baby! because these two are the only albums I have on my phone.
7. the last movie you watched - To Kill With Intrigue starring a very very young Jackie Chan.
8. TV show you're currently watching - none as of the moment. The last show I watched was Sherlock Season 3 and 4.
9. the homescreen, lockscreen, or desktop wallpaper from your device - Lan Mandragoran from Wheel of Time made by nothfan.
I've been thinking about old fandoms and new fandoms and how one way to remember them is by making fannish things. So here's my challenge: to make content for a current or old fandom fave as a way to remember them [because sometimes you (I) keep on saying next time and then you(I) blink and you've(I've) forgotten the fandom that you(I) wanted to make something for].
For something in real life, my challenge is this: take a moment to put down your phone/tablet/device and look around you. Be silent. Observe your surroundings, listen to the sounds, focus on what you are touching. Ground yourself in the moment.
Challenge 13: In your own space, share a favorite memory about fandom: the first time you got into fandom, the last time a fanwork touched your heart, wild times with fellow fans (whether on-line or off-line), a lovely comment you’ve received or have left for someone.
