CSI 3.22 Play With Fire

I remember Max Martini in CSI: Crime Scene Investigation (3.22 - Play With Fire).

Anyway, I remember that I like this episode because of the 2 stories (the murder case and the explosion in Greg's laboratory). In the murder case, a woman is found dead in the press booth of a high school (the body was still warm so they used the fogging technique to get some prints off her). The clues they have are a partial print, a bruise to indicate that the door hit her, and petechial hemorrhaging consistent with asphyxiation. Greg's lab explosion meant that there was loss of evidence as well as an injured Greg. The CSI team also had to investigate themselves.

Max Martini portrayed Jason Kent, an ex-convict who was recently released and had a relationship with the victim. He owed some people in prison who were at first the suspects but then evidence showed that the killer strangled the woman using only one hand. When CSI checked Jason Kent's hand span, it was the same as the killer's. I remembered that scene vividly because I remember thinking that the evidence wasn't strong enough. I was watching CSI and Law and Order so maybe some things stuck with me (like the need for damning evidence).

I like this episode because they had the CSI team imagining/visualizing scenarios.
